(“Synesphere”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of personal information of identifiable individuals who visit the website (the “Site”) and use the services available thereon, including without limitation The Smart Marketplace that, among other things, enables individuals and companies to find, refer, negotiate and close complex product–service and other deals (the “Services”). Amendments to this Privacy Policy will be posted to the Site and/or Services and will be effective when posted. Your continued use of the Site and/or Services following the posting of any amendment to this Privacy Policy shall constitute your acceptance of such amendment.

Consent and Information Collection and Use

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, “personal information” means any information about an identifiable individual, as further defined under British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act or other applicable laws, and also includes user content, such as text, documents, images, video, data, and other information or content, that you post to the Services that contain such information. For example, you acknowledge and agree that your information may be available to other users of the Site and Services through the deal room functionality of the Services and the features of the Services that allow you to connect with other users of the Services and refer deals to other users, including without limitation buyers, sellers, connectors and experts.
  • We may share your personal information with certain service providers, hosting providers, printers, vendors, consultants and credit card or payment processing companies (“Service Providers“). When we engage Service Providers who manage personal information on our behalf and/or perform services on our behalf, such as hosting content, conducting surveys, sending communications, processing payments or helping prevent fraudulent transactions, we may share your personal information with such Service Providers.
  • We may share certain information such as cookie data with third party advertising partners to allow such advertisers to, among other things, deliver targeted advertisements that they believe will be of the most interest to you.

Synesphere is not responsible for the actions of any independent third parties you may choose to engage with directly, nor are we responsible for any additional information you provide directly to any third parties, and we encourage you to become familiar with their privacy practices before disclosing information directly to any such parties.

Rights to Your Information

You have the right to access and edit your information at anytime through the web interface provided as part of the Services or by contacting us.

Aggregated Data

We may also use your personal information to generate Aggregated Data for internal use and for sharing with others on a selective basis. “Aggregated Data” means records which have been stripped of information potentially identifying users, and which have been manipulated or combined to provide generalized, anonymous information. Your identity and personal information will be kept anonymous in Aggregated Data. We use cookies and log files to track user information. Cookies are small amounts of data that are transferred to your web browser by a web server and are stored on your computer’s hard drive.
